I am enrolled at Edison State College, finishing my Associates Degree. This fall, I will be enrolled at Florida Gulf Coast University to complete my Bachelors Degree in Secondary Education. Following graduation, I plan to teach Language Arts, Composition and Literature to middle and/or high school students.
Experience
I am excited to be able to share my passion for education and learning! Literature and writing are especially of interest to me and are my strongest subjects. My major is in Secondary Education Social Sciences with an emphasis in Language Arts. I am confident in assisting students with History and other Humanities courses because they are of great interest to me. One of my philosophies of education is sharing the enthusiasm I have for learning with students. Tutoring is important to me as an educator because it allows me to interact with students of all skill levels. In college, I am a bit of a perfectionist. I have earned all high A's this year and give 100% in classes. Participation in discussions is one of my favorite activities in class; I like the challenge of questioning my own ideas and beliefs. Education is an important part of developing one's identity and interests! I am truly passionate about education. My goal as an educator is to guide students so that they understand and comprehend literature, form ideas into succinct sentences and paragraphs, and also to be a facilitator for students to develope an appreciation of books and personal expression through writing.

Hobbies
I am active outdoors, especially fishing, boating, swimming, camping, hiking and cycling. I enjoy animals; I have two cats and a dog. Of course I love to read and write, especially funny personal experiences--I have many! My favorite books are about mysteries, biographies and travel. I am very social but also enjoy having quiet time to relax. One of my favorite past times is kickball, and I currently play in a league. I also enjoy watching college football and playing sand volleyball. I love to bake, grill and cook, especially seafood and sweets.
